L’artista passivo

Spesso cercando di incidere un brano, mi trovo ‘paralizzato’ quando riascoltando le parti trovo imperfezioni ritmiche, somiglianze a cose che ho gia’ sentito, timbriche denaturate.. nel correggere perdo l’ispirazione, e finisco col buttare tutto al vento. Ieri ho sentito una intervista sul podcast del simpatico nikki.

“I think that.. if you make an album.. what’s really responsible for that album.. is every single moment behind, every event that ever happened in the whole world.. and the artist.. at the time he makes whatever he’s working on.. he has no choice.. he can’t do anything but that.. he didn’t choose.. he have to do it.. and that’s true for any artist.. for this reason I kind of don’t give the artist human being himself really much credit for what they’ve done.. what I see most is music in general trought the ages has grown at a very steady rate, it’s not like one person came alone and switch everything.”

Più o meno condisivisibile, credo che questo modo di vedere l’artista cosi’ passivo rispetto alla musica che fa sia un modo per lasciarsi andare completamente alla creatività, senza cercare la perfezione del suono, l’esasperazione tecnica, etc.. è un modo di dire “questo e’ quello che mi viene” senza altre preoccupazioni. Prenderò d’esempio..
